What you are not apparently getting is he never said or suggested he wanted a wide-angle lens. Not once. Your first statement above is incorrect. What he said specifically was, "I am currently using a Canon 50mm lens on my Rebel 6Ti camera. I would like a 35mm lens for a greater field of view." That does not in any way suggest a wide-angle lens. If you can find somewhere where he specifically said he wanted a wide-angle lens, I will certainly be happy to acquiesce to your interpretation. However, I think you really need to re-read more carefully what the OP was asking for before shouting at me.

As it happens I also have a 50 mm lens I use with my Canon 7D Mark II, a crop sensor body. I purchased a 35 mm f2 lens some time ago for the same reason as the OP, I wanted a greater field of view for that camera, not a wide-angle lens. And that 35 mm lens, which is my single most used lens, gave me everything I wanted in that context. By the way I also own a few wide-angle lenses, including a 10-18mm, a 14 mm and a 15-85 mm so I do know the difference.

No, it does not "mean exactly that he wants a wide-angle lens" at all. Not even close. A lens with a wider angle of view than 50mm simply is not the same as a wide-angle lens. I guess I'll have to spell it out for you. It literally just means a wider angle lens than 50mm. That could mean a 28mm, 30mm, 35mm, 40mm, or 45mm lens, and yes it could possibly also include wider lenses, BUT the OP was very specific about his interest in a 35mm lens. He may ultimately want a wider lens then 35mm but at this point he has not indicated it. What about this caused you to change the meaning of the term "a wider angle of view" to "wide-angle". They mean two completely different things. WOW, that was difficult. I'm really annoyed because I don't like being yelled at and don't like wasting my time responding to stubborn people who don't know what they are talking about. I question the state of your reading comprehension.

By the way, a 100mm lens has a significantly wider angle of view than a 300mm lens. but by your logic does that mean that a 100mm lens doesn't really qualify to be referred to as one with a winder angle of view than 300 mm? If someone asks for a lens that's has a wider angle of view then 300mm do you really assume they are talking about a wide-angle lens. Do you understand what the term "wider angle of view" actually means? This is a double eyeball roller,

Only pros, you can't use an EF-S lens on a full frame but you can use an EF on a crop camera, speaking about Canon's here, cameras like Nikon's can use both. If anything at all the lens should perform better on your APS-C camera because your images will pretty much fall in the sweet spot of that lens, on a full frame many lenses vignette and the edges are less sharp, but on your smaller sensor those problems will not be as great.

35mm lens is a good focal distance for a APS-C camera, it is about the same as a 50mm on a full frame.

I am using a canon 10-18 EF-S on my T6i Camera.
Any Canon EF-S lens you buy is for a crop sensor camera.
Therefore a 10-18 EFS lens will be a 10-18 MM.

Just to be clear, the 50mm lens you currently have is an EF lens, and technically a full frame lens. It works well on either APS-C cameras or full frame. Any EF lens will work on the T6i. If you are looking for a 35mm lens, the EF 35mm F/2 IS would be a good choice.
