I saw nothing in the manual about charging through usb. The usb cable I believe is only for transferring images. Obviously I could have missed something.

I was, at first, very disappointed with the viewfinder image. The my mail came and my eye glasses came from the VA. I don't need the glasses to take pictures but they acted as a reminder to set the diopter. What a difference.

Good luck.

I can’t find anything in the manual either. But a usb connection provides 5v. And that is where the AC adapter plugs in.

I am hugely impressed with the viewfinder image. WYSIWYG makes M mode a delight! It will make a great teaching tool.

I posted that the power connector is in the grip. That is incorrect. Page 4 shows #10 as a power connector cover. The cover is there, but there is nothing behind it. Go figure.

I see the battery is 7 volt. So it won’t charge from 5 v charger.

I got the Z6 out for a walk today. I posted pictures in the Photo Gallery.

It worked as expected. The focus with the 24-70 F/4.0 seemed a bit slow as it doesn't snap into focus. Jumping from subject to subject it's like watching a movie as the first subject gradually loses focus as the new subject goes into focus. I used an older 300mm AFs with no VR and the IBIS was fine. It actually seemed to snap into focus like it always has on my DSLRs.

I like using the control ring on the lens for exposure compensation. With gloves on I did accidently turn it. The heavy gloves also activated FN1 unintentionally. It is just a matter of getting used to the smaller body and getting thinner gloves.

I spent about an hour setting the camera up using the rear screen. I shot 306 imagers using the "prioritize viewfinder" setting. The battery shows 50%. That is more than enough for me on a single charge.

This is a fun camera with decent results, but won't replace my DSLRs. It would probably be a good fit for the folks who are always posting "Recommend a walk around camera". That's what I will use if for.

Sounds like a great camera for whatever you use it for. Best of luck on your purchase. Time to go look at your pix.

End of story on Z6.
It took several weeks to get B&H's shipping dept to catch up with my traveling schedule. At the end of the process I chose to return the Z6 because of low auto focus capture issues on moving subjects. I was very disappointed the same company that designed the auto focus system for my D500 and D850 could drop the ball like this.
I did end up going mirrorless with a Fuji XT-3. Time will tell....
