Thanks, yet the Domke F2 seems huge. Advertised as up to 2 bodies and 6-12 lenses. Seems monstrous. I have big bags, looking for more compact. This is to be specific for 1 body with of the 3 lenses attached and 2 in the bag ready to go.
Domke F6 or F8 F6 from B&H:
SLR Camera with 2-3 Lens Kit
-Canvas Shoulder Bag
-Nine Compartments and Pockets
-Non-Slip Gripper Strap

Thanks everybody for your ideas. I was watching some reviews of various bags and what they might hold. One reviewer was reviewing the Think Tank Retrospective bags. He said as a camera bag goes maybe the most discreet. He then said whenever he travels and wants to be discreet he uses just a leather style messenger bag. Big camera and big lenses plus a water bottle just disappears into a Visconti Leather Organizer Messenger Bag. Cannot even tell there is a camera in it. Only 11x10.2x3.2 I found a beautifully well worn one on eBay cheap. 20eBags has them new for $70

Domke makes bags in all sizes, including smaller ones that would fit you perfectly. Rugged and proven.

Basic hints: Whatever bag you get, make sure that it has enough protective padding, and is not a naked canvas bag. The India/Tibet/China/ Morocco buses are usually crowded, not too clean, have limited luggage storage, and people pile boxes/bags/etc against your bag no matter what you do or say. I suggest a good padded backpack with excellent shoulder & waist straps, and also a small foldable shoulder bag that can easily fit inside the shoulder bag or its side pocket. When you are ready to start shooting, put the cameraw/lens in the shoulder bag for immediate access, and put it back wen you are done to keep it clean and safe.. The late Galen Rowell told me years ago that he did this, carried the backpack with him to meals in the hotels so people would not steal it. Galen actually produced ( and sold) a chest ready (unpadded) nylon bag It has a stap to go around the chest, and you keep the camera on a neck strap, taking it out to shoot. Make sure that what ever you carry is comfortable and the backpack weight is on your hips, not your back. Brands vary in design, so make sure whatever you get is VERY comfortable.
