So does anyone know what the new features or added features on D760 are going to be? I am in the market for a new Nikon and was not able to decide between the 3 D750, D500 and D850 and am still at the same junction. If paying $200 for D500 or $1500 to 1800 for D750, rather buy D850. Will have to hold out till I get a job. But its a tough decision to make - holdout or buy.

Any thoughts?

NO one knows if there will even be a D760, or D755, or what ever Nikon will or won't label it. Remember there are BIG differences to be considered between a D850 and a D500. Even the D750 is a different breed.
You must first ask your self what you really would like to accomplish with your camera, then find the camera that best meets those needs.
If you keep waiting until a FABLED camera MIGHT come out, you will have lost many opportunities to capture once in a life time images.

So, you have actually rented the D750 for 4 years and it cost you a little over $1000.00. NOT BAD. NOT BAD AT ALL.

I should have used my D7000 for another 2 years then bought the D750 in 2017.

Hi Bill, thanks for the feedback. You are absolutely right. At present i am using my D90 and unfortunately i either misplace or lost my camera bag with D50, Tamron 28-300mm and Nikkor 60mm macro plus all my 3 extra batteries plus whatever was in there. I do have my D90 to do current capture and can't decide.

The D850 will do what bot D750 and D500 can do and more but its too heavy for me to hold and a bit out of range. I was going to buy D750 once i decided on my Macro lens and the price changed so now I am in limbo decision wise. At $1300 D750 was a no brainer as I already have a decent crop sensor. I think now I will holdout for a few months and see either D750 comes with added bonus or they announce their next generation and how the price plays...

Shop around. The D750 is old, and officially discontinued, so it's price is dropping, and will drop further. I got mine for $1,199.99. It is still a great camera, and worth the price.

Is yours a refurbished?. I looked at them last week but new was only $1,299.00 so it did not make sense. but may be now it will. Thanks Keen.

Today the Nikon D750 is $1496. It was $1296 a few weeks ago. It's not discontinued.

I look for used most of the time. Adorama, B&H are my two go to camera stores. I've looked at Ebay. Buyer beware. I have gotten great prices for my photo equipment. I saw some prices on the 750 below $800.00. i have a tight budget and looking for a bargain is my middle name.

Buy it already. Life is short and you are wasting valuable time by not shooting. The d750 is still a great bargain. I love mine and continue to shoot away. I paid more 3 years ago.

The new ones cost that now. Mine was a slightly used in store demonstrator which had a factory refurbishment, and cost less. If you wait a few more months, new ones will cost less. By Xmas shopping season, for sure. New, or moderately used, the D750 is a great bargain. Amortized over the years of use you get out of it, an extra hundred, or two, dollars won't amount to much on a month by month basis. Buy new now, and eat the cost over time; or wait a few months, and get new for less; or buy a refurb now. Life is full of decisions. However you decide, you can't go wrong with a D750.

I have the good fortune of owning a D50, D90 and a D3400, 6mp, 12mp and 24mp respectively. I am satisfied with what each is capable of producing in its own right and am acquiring fast lenses that work on all 3. Do not need to wait for the next new Nikon if and when it appears on the market or when the prices drop. I may change my view later in my journey but now I am blessed to be happy and “good to go.”

I have so far avoided Ebay for things like this. I used Ebay, years ago, for some computer gear, and got burned every time. The goods were either not what was advertised, or was damaged. Ebay does not now exist as far as I am concerned. If they did send you a working model of what was advertised, it would probably be a grey market item with no warranty. Buyer beware.

I have dealt with MPB. Excellent used products, fair prices, 6 month warranty. Bought a Nikon D90 like new with 5800 shutter count for $174. Old but new.

Keh.com has D750 bodies for less than $1080. The quality of their merchanise is better than their rating.
