Your persistence has definitely paid off! Outstanding captures of a difficult subject! Congrats!
Those are really well done.
Beautiful! You must have a great camera.
You certainly did more than get "that shot". You nailed it!! Congratulations.

I have been seriously in search of the best work I can produce, given the equipment I have and the time I am willing to put into the quest. I have been birding for less than two years and occasionally capture something that gives me confidence. I know many of you know what it feels like to get "that shot/s" and how it motivates. I am also motivated by my failures. Of the two, of course I would prefer the former. Yesterday, I went to my local meadow and was delighted to see the swallows. Since I did not shoot there last year, it was a pleasant surprise. I am still working with the invariant nature of my Nikon and judging from my understanding of what it can do for my style of shooting, I feel I am turning a page. I got "that shot." Please enjoy the downloads. It was an incredible day and I wanted to share it with you all!

Great shots, Bernie! Sharp and clear with beautiful colors. I didn't know swallows were had such colors. Thank you for sharing!
The little guy is looking me right in the eye!
I doubt that the detail in these pics could be any better than they are. Great work.

It is good to have an incredible day, Bernie, and it is good to want to share it with others. It is better to have
recognized you had an incredible day, and to have shared it as you have. May every day be so for you.
Beautiful! Your depth of field is super - those birds are sharp as a tack and look like they could jump off the page. Satisfying day, huh.
Crystal clear, brilliant colors, great composition, captured the bird's eyes and face perfectly. You made two beautiful exposures. What kind of bird is it, by the way?
Yowza you sure did!!! Excellent images!
