Wow! Beautiful shots! I've only seen them doing their "blend in with the reeds" act, if I see them at all.
Great shots Katy ! - unusual to see them out in the open ! ......thanks for sharing

Beautiful shots. You don't see one of those birds everyday! Gary
Excellent photographs. I think these are some of your finest I have seen posted. I needed to go to Download on numbers 2 and 3 to be sure of what I was looking at. Without the Download it appeared as if there might be two birds in the picture, mirroring one another. Of course on Download the actual photo was realized and I was very impressed. This is nothing derogatory about your photos at all, just my needing the download to see what the photo was. All in all, great composition, exposure and sharpness.
Well done,
Dennis
Excellent set, some very unique poses.
Very nice, Katy. Congrstulations on getting a whole series of shots of such an elusive bird.

Excellent shots Katy. Thanks for sharing.
Considering how secretive they are, you did extremely well to get this series Katy.

LOVE those raised wing images. Pushing 70 years-old and NEVER saw that before!
Neither did I, CanonShot, and probably will never again!
