I posted this photo a while back but seeing comparisons between cameras with lager sensors I fail to see anything lacking in terms of clarity and sharpness with this photo. I have a 20x30 framed print on my living room wall and it is tack sharp. Olympus OM 10, Mark ii with 14-42mm ez kit lens. f10, 1/400, 14mm, ISO 200.

I agree, I'll bet you could print much larger than that and probably would not be able to see a difference to the same image taken with a full frame!

I've had full frame and Micro 4/3rds. My m4:3 has always outshot all my full frames. The secret... I do not shoot in low light, and I do not print exceedingly large. My m4:3 camera's are just fine up to 20x30 inch.

Great image!! I have the original Olympus EM 10 and don't get the clarity and sharpness that I see in your photo. Have you had any experience with the original, and do you find the Mark ii clearly superior? Would appreciate your opinion.

Bill, your m43 image is both beautiful and not at all lacking in sharpness to my eyes. Considering that you used the 14-42mm "kit" lens and achieved such a fine result speaks very highly to both the capabilities of the m43 format and the high quality of Olympus' lenses. Nothing more to be said other than very fine work. Actually seeing this image enlarged on your living room wall would also be a real treat.

Should not see a difference in image guality, same 16mp and same lens. I never use the LCD, much prefer using the view finder.

As you can tell I really like the Olympus system. Have always shot Pentax, excellent cameras, but wanted something smaller and lighter. The omd-e 10 mark ii exceeded my expectations. Can’t imagine lugging a Nikon or Canon on hikes.

I have gone from 2 full frame cameras, one Nikon, one Canon, approx. 8 apsc cameras all with quality lenses, and finally went with an Olympus em-1 m2 with the 12-40 f2.8 and the 40-150 f2.8 ( I think) and got rid of both of those superb lenses and got the "pro" 12-100 f4.0 lens. I now have a very compact system that is limited only by my abilities. I have printed 24X36 photos that are tack sharp and I don't carry all that stuff with me. Granted I don't get as much Bokeh as the ff cameras but usually I am not looking for that and frankly I can add some of that in post to satisfy my needs. em1 m2 with 12-100 f4.0. Can't think of a better combination.
