What camera/lens are you thinking of using with this?

If you are hoping to put a 600mmF4 and a D5 on it, I would seriously question your sanity...

All kidding aside, buying this would be like getting retreaded tires for your Bentley.

All kidding aside - $70 for a gimbal? It had better come with a no-deductible insurance policy in the event that it fails and drops your camera/lens onto the rocks.

As long as the human race continues to teach it's children how to count it will endure cheapness as a way of life. In the '60's I worked during college selling auto parts. The number of people who put re-cap tires on their Bentleys is staggering. Cheapness is a trait that can be detected miles away, usually from the odor. The are major differences between cheap and frugal. One is a sickness, the other a human characteristic. Cheapness runs to the bone.

I consider myself frugal. Careful with money, but not at all averse to "spending what it takes" to a)same money down the road, b)avoid disaster from buying things that should never have been offered for sale due to poor design/build quality/materials -

$70 was an 8 hour sale. The regular price is $175. Hopefully it will be a decent head.

You MAY have the right intention and there is some validity to your post but also a lot of misunderstanding and lack of empathy for other people's situation and way of thinking.

Your post makes you come across as a total DB

Has anyone checked out "Bemyar"???

They are an importer of rebranded Chinese products operated out of a guys house in Washington, DC.

https://bemyar.com/collections/all

Pretty sketchy operation by ANY stretch of the imagination.
And by the way, any returns have to be shipped back to China for potential refund, and that will cost you a BIG chunk of the $69.99 selling price.

Sorry, its STILL $69.99. The hype is nothing more than marketing tactics.

Here is the exact same head with the actual manufacturers name on it for only $43.99 (cheaper if you want several).

I bought Movo GH400 Carbon Fiber Hybrid Gimbal Tripod Head with Arca-Swiss Quick-Release Plate (For Ball Heads) in 2017. I use it with my 7Dmk ii, 150-600 Tamron, Canon 400 f/5.6L etc.
No problems. Nice smooth movement.
Obviously not the absolute best, however neither am I.

Cost me $100.00

I am certain it is a WIMBERLEY SK-100 Sidekick knock off.

And I am certain it is not up to the standards of a Wimberley.

Frankly, I don't know. I have never used a Wimberley.
I don't know if it is all hype or what.

I do know my gimbal holds my gear when it has to, pivots smoothly, pans smoothly, is carbon fiber and saved me over $150.00 vs the Wimberley. In fact, the last time I was birding last December another photographer thought it was a Wimberley.

Its just a rebranded Beike Gimbal. Very poor quality build

Thank you MT, it sure looked like a Beike to me also. I bought a Beike and it is so tight it is unusable as a gimbal. The lube that they used acts more like an adhesive and the gimbal cannot be taken apart to be cleaned and re-lubed. I called them and asked how I can dis-assemble the gimbal and was told they cannot be taken apart. It appears they used permanent lock-tite when they assembled it.

I have taken a couple of them apart, but its not easy. You have to pry off the cap on top of the panning base. You will find no bearings onside at all. The swingarm I have never successfully managed to get apart without destroying it.

I have a gimbal from Jobu, a Canadian Company, and am well pleased with its quality and performance.

After seeing the 45 review on YouTube I would have no problem buying and using it. Money saved and not everything needs to be big name high dollar items to be effective and last.

Spend 500 on a Wimberly or 80 on this and use the money saved to travel to places to use it.

I ordered one myself last month after watching Their Ads in Facebook. I have received mine and it is as advertised. Love it with my heavy Canon 5D Mark III and 100 to 400mm lens. So easy to use and so stable. Best tripod head for a heavy camera I've ever used.
