Hi cjkorb: It was interesting to note the first photo is of the old Bomber service station. Although you can't see it in the photo the "Bomber Cafe" was right behind the service station. Though the station is no longer there the cafe still is. "The Bomber Cafe" sits on Hwy 99 E. in Milwaukie Oregon. They have lots of great pictures in the cafe and the food isn't half bad either. Should you want to take a walk down memory lane it's a great place to visit of take time for a photo op.

That's a great piece of information, thanks. I never get tired of looking at photo's of the '50's' and '60's'.

Yep, even checked the air in the tires, then when the vaccum cleaner became more popular they put away the whisk broom and would vaccum the car even on a dollars worth of gas!

That's right and back in the day, a dollars worth of gas would give you about 4 gallons!

The Good Year tire service center was huge. I guess they were always busy since tires only lasted a fraction of what they do now. I machine they probably changed oil too. That was an every 1,000 miles!
