Finally made it down to Namibia, Africa am am enjoying the wonderful sites. Took this photo of a Mud Daubber Wasp (Delta lepeleterii). This is a full frame not cropped and I'm sort of testing the system out because the internet is awfully slow down here (I am out in the middle of nowhere land). If it works, I will post some more and they will be cropped accordingly. I tried posting but it failed, so I have resampled it to a much smaller format, sorry. I will re-post when I return home in four weeks, this is just a small sample of the insect life here.
African Wasp
looks good, thanks for posting.

Thank you John, I wanted to post the original but I couldn't. Glad you like it.
Brilliant colors. Nice capture.
Mind your narrow DoF. Remember to keep insect body & wings tangent to lens.
Nice capture, I look forward to seeing more of the stuff you shot there when you return home

I usually try to do that, but this guy would not set still, I did get three photos of him though. Difficult insect to photograph.

Yes, I might entice everyone with a little something now and then, but most will wait until I can upload the full photos and not the ones that have been resampled with the dpi reduction.
Beautiful shot, thanks for sharing!
