I took this yesterday morning on my way home from dropping my wife off at work...
Vibrant color! Love the fog.
Love foggy shots. Mine never turn out half that good.
I have an urg to drag my kayak out , this is very nice, calming, would like to see more like this

Only word I can come up with, Fabulous, takes me back to boy scout days camping in the English Lake District. Thanks so much for sharing!

Another excellent reason to always have a camera within easy reach... this is a beauty!

I like the pretty mist right off the water.
Thanks everybody! I didn't have my camera with me..when I drove by this lake and saw the scenery I said I got to get a picture of that. I only live about 5 mins from that lake so I ran home grabbed my camera and went back and took a picture before all the fog lifted up from the lake. Usually when I take different routes like that I'll take my camera with me because you never know what you'll see out there to take a picture of.
it is a very pretty picture, and the reflections in the lake are nice. I would have followed the rules of 3rds a little more closely and brought the reflection of the island down into the lower 1/3 which would have cropped off a lot of the reflections of the side trees but by doing this and having the side trees also down in the bottom 3rd the resulting photo would have led the viewers eye deeper into the photograph. As it is now my eyes just look at the mist and island and are not led any deeper into the scenery. Try cropping the photo up from the bottom and see how your eyes are led deeper into the scenery. Then with those beautiful reflections I would have turnd and concentrated entirely on the beautiful fall colors of the trees on the right hand side and their reflection in the surface of the water. Still all in all it is a very nice photograph and one to proud of.
great shot, foggy makes a picture different. This is a post card shot
Great shot! The reflections and morning mist really create a mood.
I think maybe i'd try the pic with the water line in the top 1/3 line, and the tree line on the left 1/3. Keep the water the big thing. Let the water reflect the island and the trees. The sky doesn't add much to the shot.
