I was thinking of adding a second flash. Yeah right! Now I'm calculating flash lighting ratios. Basically. I was holding my SB400 with softbox in my hand and trying different angles.
In another life, one of my on-going jobs was shooting small glass objects 2'' to 16". I built a small light table out of plexi-glass and lit the glass from below, behind, above-- you name it--I tried it. Also played around with cross-polarization (basically polarizing the flash units). I spent a lot of time and $s on film!
