Well, this doesn't match up to f/22's "laying in the weeds" refraction, which was spectacular.
However I feel like the focus is good. I held the softbox above the flower which is why the drop is so dark.
1/200 @ f/22 with flash at M-1/16.
Now I can work on the composition....

I love the look.
Thanks. I really had to work to get the focus. Macro has such a high discard rate. This forum has made me more critical of flaws. There are some fine photographers on here-- and they are great at sharing. I owe a lot to Nikonian72, Blurryeyed, and f/stop22 for assisting with the focus technique.
I feel like it's a "Walton moment"....
Excellent. Your gonna dust me as soon as you fine tune your technique.
Fantastic shot....love it!

Well, I'm not sure about that. I was finally able to get the focus-- now I'll work on the composition and "artsy-fartsy" part of it. I deeply respect your opinions-- because you consistently produce excellent images.
Nice job you nailed it. There are so many variables in this reflection, refraction stuff to think about. I think you got something with the lighting up high. It's not like straight up macro work. I have a lot of experimenting to do with lighting, positions of light source and diffusers. Maybe we need to flash the subject behind the drip? It never ends!
