Weather whether whatever, weather rules. Yes folks it sure does make or break our day, so for this Hump I'd like to see the weather at where you are at, be it whatever as all weather counts. Sun, snow, fog, rain high winds and oh yes, the effects of weather are on today's menu also.
It would also be neat to show weather shots done in July and those done recently, the same shots and subjects. In other words, a T-Storm brewing out back of your place in July and a snowstorm brewing around now.
As a kid my seniors did not put much faith in weathermen and we had no television and the radio was only for the 6:00 PM news so through them, all watermen, I learned about mare's tails, mackerel sky, red in the morning...etc and how to smell east winds and incoming rain.
So, whatever you click from before sunup to after sundown , bring it on.
(I'm a bit early for reasons out of my control)
These clouds show me that it is pretty breezy up there at that altitude
A vertical shot of fast moving clouds
These are what is called ''mackerel sky'' and there are not too many of them so I thought that within 48 hours that we'd be getting something. They do not lie. Tonight on the forecast, guess what? Snow over night.
How weather changes. This was taken a month ago where I was cutting wood
Same place taken today
Weather left the snow on the ground, then weather warmed up and it rained and then the temps dropped to the low 20's and I can now walk on the crust
Hurricane Irene, the winds came and went and left many trees in precarious positions
awesome shots!! Love the changes in weather. That dude in your avatar looks pretty cool too!

Hi Gorgeousann what great shots. Isn't it amazing how places change so much during different seasons? Almost looks like a whole different place. You captured the changes well. Beautiful photos

P.1 ... Jim, those clouds make the show what it was meant to be. Love the last pic.
GG ... Exactly what I wanted to see. What a difference a season makes
Last week the temps were daily below zero and comme Friday the startedrising and on Saturday we reached 40°+ and the ''fog'' set it and we had it all weekend. Now I say ''fog'' but am not sure that this is real fog or what.
In the first photo you will see fog in the middle third, then on top the a building or two, but just under the fog you will see a narrow stretch of water, no fog. This fog(?) rises off of the ice and not the open water. During these rare times photography is awesome because there are strong currents at this point of the river and the ice will separate or cluster up hence changing the thickness and depth of the ''fog''.
This is what I call ''The Forest of Masts'' as in the background you can see the masts of the boats in the marina there
This one with the fog cover makes the cliff look a bit like a downhill ski center, which it isn't, but Québec City is right on top of that cliff
These are awesome. It has been pretty cold here too. We have had some of the coldest temps in the nation. -20 to -25 for two weeks straight. And in the main town they have been in the single digits too
