Today at work I was approached by a member of our IT dept.
She comes up to me and blurts out "Since your the photographer can you come and take our pictures" They needed head shots for our head office. I laughed and said you are aware that "we photographers are just part of the equation...the gear does come into play as well.
I still took the pictures with the craptastic P & S they gave me to use.
It was a real laugh as this thing was so old and you didn't have much in the way of options to try to make the photo look good.
I told them next time give me some notice and I could at least bring my camera and my flash lol!
And for goodness sake do NOT tell anyone I took those yucky pics!
They all laughed but yet were happy with the poor quality.

If they liked them they couldn't be too bad. Sounds like you ARE a photographer.

I don't think folks that are artsy or crafty see things the same as those that are. And I think after you have a camera in your hands for a while you see things no one else does.

Your correct Erv....I see the dust spots in my viewfinder. No one else sees them as I remove them in PP.

Well Sherilynne, looking at the signature on your photograph, you must be a working photographer, yes? Charge them professional rates.

Hahahaha I should have but being Christmas and all I figured it was my good deed to end the year with. Maybe that is why they didn't ask at an earlier date because if I used my gear it may have been a different story.
