Windshield Wipers

I get mine at sam's for around $15 each.wipers now a days last about 1 year if you are lucy.back in the day they would last 4 or 5 years.i used to by triple edge wiper blades.they had 3 edges.going one waty 2 of the 3 would wipe the glass and coming back the center edge and the other edge would wipe the glass and they were cheap, great and lasted for ever but I thing someone bought them off and stopped production cause every one was loosing business.

EDITED: Maybe the dealer gave me a break. Here are two wipers for $64, plus tax. The one for the rear costs $50.

I recently only replaced the rubber blades of my wipers...Less waste, less money spent..

Try Denso wipers...almost all Japanese car manufacturers use Denso parts...

Normally, you would remove the whole placement from the arm then remove the blade only then take the blade in as a sample to the parts dept ?

I went to Auto Zone, got new wipers. They put them on for me. Two days later, (no rain....wipers not used) went to have my tires checked. They check EVERYTHING. They told me my wipers were worn out and I needed new ones.
I didn't tell them. I just smiled and said "not today, thank you".

I go to the local AutoZone and the women who ones or runs the store, replaces them for me for free.
She doesn't accept tips either.

Jerry, I wish you hadn't started a discussion about windshield wipers.

The minute you did, the wipers on my car quit working. The drivers side wiper goes up & stops. The passenger side wiper doesn't move. Now I'll need to do some research to see if I can diagnose/fix the problem without an expensive visit to a repair shop.

I'm old enough to remember when you could get refills without having to get the whole darn blade (metal part) If it weren't for that stupid yearly inspection I would just drive only when it's clear. :) I'll buy my own and put them on when the time comes.
