Good they abandoned before the water rose any higher! Nicely composed, interesting scene.
Since you and Jack were talking about canoes, I looked closer. They don't seem to be sitting in the water so much as on top. The closer one is in front of the foliage that should be in front of it
Now, having pointed out these details, let me say I think realistic composites are extremely difficult to do and I admire your skill and dedication!
