I know that a lot of Texas is mountains, desert and badlands.

Technically, very few "Mountains" (over 2000 ft) in Texas. I was taught in school that there were NO mountains in Texas, but according to Wikipedia, they lied to me (shocking).

Pretty much all of the farm-able lands was already being used as farm lands (Unless you want to start cutting down the forests).

I say "was" because now farmlands are being converted to solar farms (more money in it).

Interesting tid-bit (getting way off topic here): when the farmlands are plowed over to make ready for the solar farms, the field mice and rats have nowhere to go. So, they start eating the solar farm wiring. It take an incredible amount of pest control to get the rodent population under control.

When SS was created in 1935, there were 41 workers for every retiree. Today it is 2.07 people per retiree. This is one reason SS is going broke. I am 68 and when we were having families it was normal to have 3-4 children. Today, I know several young people who do not want any children or 1 child. We are not having enough children to replace ourselves

Good observations, but some people need things to constantly worry about.

Don't worry about it. It's like Hank said, "I'll never get out of this world alive."

In which case "they" (Hand wringers/alarmists) will create a new problem. Ergo, global warming/global cooling/climate change. Overpopulation/underpopulation/world famine . Acid rain/Ozone Holes. The lists of "problems" is long and endless. None of them have come true which should give the hand wringers a hint that they are out to lunch.

True, the internet and media is packed with the garbage but if your scroll past page 100/200 you will start to find a few real scientists and educators that manage to get past the censorship imposed by those making fortunes off the disinformation.

If that doesn't work for you, at least take note that those telling you how to live to save the planet do exactly the opposite themselves. Drive electric cars or take a bus while they fly around in private jets. Don't eat meat to save the cow farts, while they eat Wagyu Porterhouse. Eat veggies while they dine on Blue Fin Tuna. The hyperbole and hypocrisy of this gang of thieves is blatantly obvious.

As far as I am aware, the majority of space aliens are vegetarians. Plants are better to eat. They don’t complain when you chew them.

The planet can take care of itself. It's a planet that can support human life that some people want to preserve. I say it's time to give another species a chance to take over.

It seems that a declining population could be a big problem in the near future. A large population causes problems, but so does a smaller population.

"Population crash
Think of global population problems and you might think of the growing number of people in the world – currently about 8 billion – and our collective toll on the planet. But due to people having fewer children as countries become more prosperous, the real demographic problem may actually be falling populations. Demographers have now projected that within about 25 years, three-quarters of countries will have birth rates that are too low to maintain their populations. While this may be good news for the environment, having fewer working-age people to support those who are older presents a big issue. Maintaining economic and societal stability will be one of the key challenges of this century."

Another shortage - sand. Yes, there is a shortage of the right kind of sand for glass, electronics, and cement. Maybe the next shortage will - salt water. 😁

No. It's too far away. Too bad that certain people with the vote don't want to do anything about that. I guess they have to "follow orders." No thinking allowed. 😂

We have lots of "southerners" in this area. They work in construction, automotive, plumbing, delivery, and landscaping, and they have opened restaurants, grocery stores, churches, and they sell good firewood at reduced prices. I read the local papers every day, and according to the names I read in the "Police Beat, none of them are thieves, murderers, or rapists. It's the local white folks who are doing most of that.

The southern border has never been closed. When Biden became president, there were between 12 and 25 million illegals in the country. There are some families that have been here for decades and generations who were born here. Those children are part of our society, and work here as legals. The number of people is decreasing, especially the the number of people working. The worker participation rate continues to decrease. Our population over 65 continues to grow, but most do not work.

You need more accurate sources of information, or maybe vet out the 23 year old head in the sky jerrnlists who propagate that info.
