I simply loved the '57 and '58 DeSotos. This picture should show anyone why...
What great lines on this vehicle. Nice photo.
I'm with terryMc on the '57 and '58's. I remember placing the one piece of translucent red plastic into the chrome housing for the taillight of my '57 DeSoto model. A pleasant memory. I had a chance to buy a classmate's dad's black and red Adventurer for $250. Unfortunately, he sold it before I could come up with money. Another gem that got away from me :-(

Beautiful car, beautifully photographed.
A beautiful design. Wish today's designers would take a lesson!
Nice photo, Kim. I can see that one, top down, with a beautiful young lady sitting on top of the back seat, waving to the admiring crowd, as she is transported slowly along Broad Street in my college Homecoming parade. Those were the days 🥹

Kim, your photograph of the DeSoto boat in a nice setting is about as complementary as they come. IMHO, one can’t say the same for the actual car. Every time I see a DeSoto and thankfully not often, classic but not attractive immediately come to mind. Well done!
Great photo as always.
I think it was the 56 DeSoto that had more than 1 horsepower per cu. in. of engine displacement. Chevrolet lovers like to brag about the 57 with 283 bhp. Desoto beat them by a year. I'm sure wikipedia and allpar.com have the details.
A friend's mother had a 57 2 dr ht, two tone silver (gray?) and black. It was a goer.
