Linda, I love shots like these: Normal things at an abstract level, emphasizing the beauty of their structure šŸ„‡šŸ„‡šŸ„‡šŸ„‡
Thank you very much, Joe. Did you feel any of the "tension" I was trying to impart via my pov and cropping?

Joe said it well, "Normal things at an abstract level, emphasizing the beauty of their structure..." With this series of photos, you created a wonderful diversity/controversy of thought that we Humans, are good at. AI photos while "nice," do not have the feel of wonderful-imperfections of humanity.

Your wonderful series forks out to alternates for each one. The examples are the re-crops you demonstrated.

The restatement of the sun over the edge of the building is one if printed and distributed would be hung in 4 different ways, each 90* different depending on the person and where displayed in their home.

As I watch the news pundits speaking from home I look at the art on their walls, at times quite surprising. I find there is a definite gender difference. Humor is the desk and table clutter of male psychologists skilled at criticizing a politician's mental clutter. Neat are the attorneys with award certificates and legal-looking book displays, backgrounds becoming more tailored to impress as at-home interviews/"expert"-inputs become the norm.

Keep up your creativity, Linda we all profit from your skill.

Your comments are always thoughtful and interesting, Ellen!

I put another shot in Black and White Forum here. I didn't explain what I was going for, so the replies are quite enlightening

I was reminded of two techniques for creating visual tension that I sometimes find more annoying than engaging: Dutch Angle and odd cropping, especially with people.

Thank you, Linda, for the links. I checked your black and white and found it held quite a lot of ā€œvisual tensionā€ for me. (Not necessarily in a good way but possibly what you want to create)

I also read the Dutch Angle article and was fascinated. So much to do, so little time!!!

Thanks, Ellen. Aren't we fortunate to enjoy such a fabulous hobby?! I hope you'll share some Dutch Angle shots with us soon
