Wannabe dictator Donald Trump will welcome dictator Victor Orban into his Mar-a-Lago home this week. Why?

AP:
"Orban, who has been in office since 2010, has promoted what he calls “illiberal democracy” and has been criticized by international observers, including the U.S. State Department, for leading an increasingly autocratic system in Hungary, including allegations he rolled back minority rights, seized control of the judiciary and media and manipulated the country’s e******n system to remain in power."

Trump and conservatives-that-matter/donors have a long history of feting Viktor Orban's minor-party-rule accomplishments in Hungary. He was allowed to tinker with the constitution just enough to legally enable himself to re-write the Hungarian Constitution 'for the nice folks'. (" ... couldn't happen here we have laws!" Run it by the Supreme Court and Ginni Thomas and see how you go.)

[quote=gorgehiker]Perhaps because Obama left office eight years ago and is not running for president now. The world is a much different and more dangerous place today than it was eight years ago. Trump is the current leader of the Republican Party and is campaigning for the presidency now. I prefer leaders who are not "buddying up" to the anti-American creators of world chaos in today's world.[/quote
It may be dangerous now, but not on the scale I can remember. Though that could change between China and Iran getting nukes-I think that even worries China because the Mullahs consider dying for Allah* to be a good thing.
I remember the Cold War**, with a few hot spots here and there = my uncles served during Korea and I served in Vietnam and my brother(career Army Medic) spent years in "West Germany" waiting for the Soviets to come through the Fulda Gap and South Korea waiting for the North to come over the DMZ. My oldest son, between 6 years Active and since then in the Army Reserves, has been to Iraq (at the end of the major fighting), Kuwait and a few other exotic vacation spots.

*For those who don't know "Allah" is not God's name to Islam, it literally means "the God" and is used by Christian Arabs also. It is a contraction of the Arabic al-Ilāh, “the God.” al=the Ilah=God

**Everyone was worried that the nukes would start to fly and end life as we know it. I forget who said it but I remember "I don't know exactly what WW3 will be fought with, but WW4 will be with sticks and stones."

Oh, Rac. Your constant criticism and anger towards Democrats and constant defense of Republicans and Trump establish your position as one of the biggest hypocrits in the attic.

Best thing I've read all day. Rac needs anger management, DESPERATELY.

Well then buddy up with your senile old wanna be president. He doesn’t have the intelligence to know who he’s buddying up with, but he has praised the Chinese leader quite a bit.? I’m sure his family is taking kickbacks from China too.

What you call "buddying up" shows your ignorance of what a leader, POTUS, has to do while trying to preserve any peace and stability in the world. What do you think a leader should do? Ignore people like Kim or Putin? That's a pretty adolescent idea of the world and it's politics.

To a Lefturd, it’s ok for a Democrat president to cozy up to dictators but it Trump does it, all hell breaks lose in the warped mindless of a Lefty hypocrite.

Using diplomacy and going to a baseball game is not the same as prasing dictators who invades a neighbor.

Wasn’t going to comment on this. Not going to comment on this. Should not comment on this. Won’t comment on this.
But in the meantime……

It will be a good day for the US and the rest of the world when tRumplistiltskin is behind bars for all of his crimes. How can he be selected to represent one of the world’s most important countries when he is so narcissistic, sociopathic, dishonest, manipulative, downright cruel and nasty, lacking kindness, compassion and responsibility, setting such an example for the thoughtless uneducated to follow???

Guess who I am not v****g for.

Folks simply do not understand their own vocabulary.
Don't actually understand the terms they throw about...like dictator.
I know automatically when I hear that word and Trump...

The person saying it is not very educated.
