Yeah, you're right, we should just forget about 9/11, or the demands put on local resources to meet their housing, educational and medical needs, let us also dismiss the crimes that we are watching them commit in communities throughout the country, we should welcome the millions crossing our borders each year by breaking our i*********n l*w and pushing those trying to immigrate legally into the country to the back of the line....

Let's just focus on race and ethnicity and demean our fellow Americans who may disagree with us.
Yeah, you're right, we should just forget about 9/... (show quote)

This is a real circular argument with you Trump Clones & Your Manufactured Wedge Issues
1) 9/11 - It has been determined that -- "IF" our internal & external Security Agencies had actually been communicating with each other we would have nailed those bastards long before they got on a plane -- Thus the establishment of Homeland Security under GWB
2) The Border: Many past presidents have attempted to create a modern Border Policy -- Republican Congresses have always turned them down -- The Senate actually on their own recently came up with one -- Trump told all his Clones in the House to Stop It -- TRUMP needs this issue to remain a Festering Wound to enable him to get elected

Again, your biased comments ignore that HB-2 was not considered for amendments in the Senate was it. The Democrats know full well that a border bill without a solid security plan to effectively control who is entering will never fly. Now the house should have at least taken a shot at amending the Senate bill but again Schumer made no attempt to do the same with the house bill.

Probably doesn’t matter how the law is written if you look how subjective the asylum judges are. I recently saw a complete list for all judges across the country and their approval rates for 2023 varied from 4% to above 50% so it is obviously subjective and driven by ideology and not exclusively the law.

That's true, but that's after they already get an asylum claim filed. The problem of bad judges goes away if they are removed from the country right away and never get to appear before a judge.

The American Way; it depends on the judge (or attorneys).

The judges issue is not new. Compare 2017 to now.

"IF" that's true it could have & should have been amended in the House --
That is how our Government is designed to operate
That is also what the current Trump-controlled House of Representatives is unable to do

The argument is circular because you seem to refuse culpability in driving wedges. We were talking about immigration and you strongly suggested that black/brown white issue as the reason so many republicans are resistant to current policies. When the Democrats can turn a handful of police/minority encounters out of the probably 10’s of millions of contacts annually and call this s******c r****m without injecting that 6% of the nation’s population (black males) commit over 50% of homicides, robberies, car jacking, home invasions which would obviously necessitate a high number of high risk contacts and then proliferate a narrative that causes a major over reaction by media, politicians and corporations that’s how you drive a wedge. Concepts like DEI are spawned by this movement and you would probably ask what is wrong with diversity, equity and inclusion and why would anyone object. Well I give you two out of three as the e should stand for e******y not equity. Many promote selective equity as I have never heard it being argued in the NFL or NBA. Meritocracy in its purest form is on display as the all 64 starting cornerbacks (and their backups) are black because they are the very best that can be hired for those positions. So under equity do you think there should be more short, pudgy white guys playing in the NBA? I know this is silly but when you start dumbing down curriculums, calling math r****t rather than preparing young people to compete at the highest level and stop telling them they can’t compete, you are doing them further harm.

My point was why didn’t the Schumer controlled Senate entertain and amend (if needed) HB-2 from the house last year?

The house did pass an immigration bill Schumer just wont bring it to the floor in the senate. Dont be blaming the house for that one.

What would be the use, the GOP wouldn't go for it anyway.

Really, they did pass it in the house essentially without Democrat v**es. It isnt just the GOP that is screwing things up.

Citizens complain, rightfully so, about the negative impact of immigrants because of the financial burden. The financial burden would be outweighed if these people were allowed to work. That's one reason there are here... to work.
At less than 4% unemployment, and thriving economy... we need workers.

Agree that

Rather than discuss amendments the senate chose to write its own bill.
The ball is is now in house court to negotiate a compromise bill thru committee action of two chambers.

Since you KNOW all my former students and are apparently in contact with them, tell them I'm setting up a group photo and I'd like them to gather on a convenient date and location.

Thank you.

Yes they can - after 6 months . Why wait,

And how do you propose to define assylum legitimately if not changing the laws.

Because some 90% of their asylum claims will be found to be false.... How about that Denny? They broke the law in coming here and now you want to give them asylum, how about sending them back home or actually closing the border and only taking in as many as the detention centers which they by law are supposed to be held in while their case is evaluated will hold.
