Apparently since that is not still in effect it must have been Biden who did away with it and/or never reinstated it. Mexico agreed with Trump's policy but now have a completely different thought process where they want the little pussy, POS Biden, to kowtow to them and new demands made upon America. Seems the Mexican government realizes Trump isn't around anymore but Biden is here for them to kick around.

I did read the typical uses and they delineate specific examples but the statute does grant the President broad powers in this regard as he is considering using between the ports but is receiving blowback from the hard left. Frankly, given the current security on the border I can’t imagine how he could close it between ports.

I agree I don’t think it possible to use that authority in todays world either. Best solution change the law regarding crossing between entry country point and give authority in written in law initial screening to make some type of go no no go decision. AND fund more immigration judges to cure the years long backlog.
Until then let them work , pay taxes , spend money in our economy INSTEAD of a local financial burden ala NYC

Why could it not have been reinstated simply by Biden, just as Trump did, contacting the President of Mexico and asking the agreement be ongoing. Damn lil denny is that really SO hard for you to comprehend? That policy worked beautifully for Trump didn't it? Can you simply say yes, it worked well, without going into your usual BS crap pretending you don't understand? But did Biden even attempt to do that, even attempt to talk with the President of Mexico to see if the same working policy could be reinstated? My guess is Biden did not. Hell, POS Biden isn't that smart is he. Let's also not forget Biden had no intention of doing anything like that. His policy was for millions of i*****l a***ns to cross into America immediately rather than after they had been approved. Presently these very same i*****l a***ns are supposed to report to a court sometime in 2031. Surely you know by that date every one of these i*****l a***ns will be spread across the country. I would be surprised if even one of them showed up in court. Why would they even consider going to a court to see if they were approved or not? What an insane idea that would be. Go to court and maybe be sent out of the country OR stay right here and take advantage of all the freebies POS Biden promised these freeloaders.
