Obviously the Original remains untouched. In my mind I would start with a sweep of Rainbow colors in the lighter (upper) background behind the stamen, fading into the darker petal on the right, leaving the rest in green. I generally hand color things like this unless I accidentally have another photograph to borrow from. Most of my creations get done after midnight after a regular editing session, and filed away unprinted.
My imagination sees a double matting with the two versions side by side.
In reality my house displays the artwork of others; when I got divorced the ex gave me all our collected art.
