Wow, the history of this original is unsettling to say the least.

Yes, "unsettling to say the least" For the job interview at the medical complex, the first stop was the discretion lab for med students, yes unsettling, but I did not show it.

The photo was one of several on my office wall when in industry, but it was the one that people thought to be an electrocution. When I explained the heroic nature of the body it did not change their feeling, I understood. As a young country boy working volunteer work in the ER for Detroit Receiving hospital was an education. Considering that every gurney had hand and leg cuffs and the police escorted many people in... well, not the small farming community that I was used to!!!!

While working at the medical complex, I became "immune" to damaged bodies... but then supervising an industrial lab, I found that the immunity faded. I recall one tech on the machine floor cutting her finger across the top spanning the joint. As the health/safety officer, I was called to the area. I instructed her not to bend her finger... wrapped it sat her down and went to get her a cold drink before taking her to the hospital. Leaving the room to get her a cold drink was for me to recover my composure. At the hospital the first thing the nurse ask "Can you bend your finger" I instructed the woman do-not bend your finger... the nurse gave me a "look" ... bending would have been a disaster.

In Detroit, every spring there was a fresh supply of bodies frozen in snow drifts during the winter... unnamed, unclaimed. So the world turns.
