The FBI raided the home of Lucas Luthor in Smallville, Luthor was gone without a trace. FBI spokesman stated that there was a near-death man found in the basement. The man was hooded and was glowing in the dark, believed to be Radioactive. The NRC, Nuclear Regulatory Commission, the Federal agency responsible for protecting the health and safety of the public was called in to handle the situation in accordance with Title 10, Part 20, of the Code of Federal Regulations, "Standards for Protection Against Radiation," The radioactive material was identified as Kryptonite a rare mineral found in meteorites.

A special team was called in to deal with saving the man's life. He has not yet been identified. A comment was made that the man was muscular, and oddly a magnet stuck to his skin as tho he was made of steel. There was a big red letter S on the chest of his blue clothing.

Please help if you can identify this man.

Beautiful, wonderful and any other adjectives wish to add.

Calling on my previous knowledge as a Radiation Safety Officer for several Biotech firms, Kryptonite has a half life of 10,000 years but since it only affects natives of the planet Krypton there should be no risk to native life of Terra except for the Cockroach. They can be expected to mutate to the size of African Elephants. Fortunately by the time they reach full size they also become sexually sterile. Any good extermination service should be able to control continuing infestations by the time they reach the size of large horses.

This immediately dragged me back to so many suspense-filled reads of "S****man" comics back in the day - when my parents said they were rotting my brain (You should have heard what they said about my monthly purchases of MAD magazine )

Why I think I can identify this man. He is a schizophrenic. He has a duel personality. Thank goodness it is only two. His first persona is he is a mild mannered reprter, working
for a great Metropolitan newspaper. His second persona, he think he can leap tall building in a single bound. The S on ship shirt stands for schizo. That is the shirt he has to wear at the psych ward. His real name is Harvey. In real life he is a six foot rabbit.
Good thing yor excellent rendering made it possible for me to ID him.

Curmudgeon Interesting is your background as Radiation Safety Officer. I too had experience with radiotracers as a bio-analytical tool. I recall the background radiation in my lab was so high I had to go to an adjacent lab to take measurements. But, Curmudgeon, do recall that radiation had no ill effects on people in the early 1960's. We disposed of lab waste down the drain, that led to a large tank. Once the radiation level and the water level reached a point... water was added and the water then went to the public waste disposal, PTOW, and that effluent into the Detroit River, to be picked up downstream, filtered, and chlorinated for the water supply, a refreshing drink indeed. "Dilution was the solution to pollution."

Survival of the fittest theory of evolution, Darwinist's view, did not consider the wonders of genetic/radiation effects... unknown at that time. About that time, early 1900s, Radium was used in that era as "energy drinks" and cosmetics for women. In the 70's Radium was used for Tonsillectomy... I elected old-fashioned surgery for mine. Dr Faust's machine capsule fell out and was broken and walked through that building and on the streets of Charlotte North Carolina.

I applied for a job at Fermi-1 and had a tour of the inside of the reactor before it was finished. Only 20 miles from Detroit, was a time bomb, Sodium Cooled Fast-Breeder Plutonium Reactor. A near disaster that would have claimed 4-Million lives is well documented in the book, "We Almost Lost Detroit."

Joecichjr, Joe, our view of the real world was shaped by great literature such as Mad Magazine and Comics that taught us that we tho not the smartest nor strongest could in our minds become a great person when dire circumstances called for it. Above all, we learned to remain calm by following Alfred E. Neuman's motto “What, me worry?

I recall the anticipation we had waiting for the shelf having the monthly Mad, we a group of 4 on a 10th-grade lunch break would walk down to Torrie's Drugstore and drink Cherry Coke and thumb thru a fresh copy. Today's politics would be clear to teens if only Mad had survived.

I am pleased that you like the presented image, tho you may not like the original image. The form, seated man, started with a 1961 photo of an unnamed hero whose body was used for pilot ejection brain damage studies commissioned by the Airforce. I took the photo in 1961, early to work at Wayne State University Medical College [Detroit] the ejection converted elevator door was open. My pocket 35mm folding camera was ready to do a quick shot as I walked by. I still love pocket cameras, there when the opportunity presents itself.

Thru the years presented on my office wall, many people were disturbed, made uncomfortable.

That scan of that image was subjected to cleanup with Topaz AI and Clarify ... then given the insanity treatment by Lunipic... a great online image manipulation tool that gave the colors and geometric dicing that you enjoyed Linda, I too found it Mesmerizing. The original image is here:

To be successful we must be Schizoid to a degree and have two personalities one being the imaginary all-knowing Harvey, standing 6 feet when only 5-10, present more knowing and taller than we are. This imposter syndrome allows us to present confidence when promoted while at that moment thinking we are not up to the task. Why me? Well, now at 88, I realize that I was up to the task, too late to do much good...!!!

The Big Letter S came from an image of Superman the man we as children aspired to be. Unfortunately, our TV hero Superman, George Reeves, felt himself a failure and tried to fly out a window.

I like it. It has a very comic book appearance, which fits perfectly.

As you said ebrunner, the image has a very comic-book appearance. When very young, Comic Art, books, and Puck The Comic Weekly, included with the Sunday paper was our art early education.

When converting the setting Airforce test subject the result brought to mind the Comic Book Superman. Perhaps when he was frozen and shattered. "That-look" inspired me to add the "Big Red Letter S" to the chest area.

I noticed the big red S and that brought me immediately to comic books. Tick all the right boxes.

She was found abandoned at an apartment that Luther rented for her. She was lonely because Superman had been absent from her lustful life for a month and Luther was a charming man.

When asked where were you Lois when Superman needed you? Her reply was, "Well where was Superman when I needed him? Besides, he was always jumping quickly out of my bed flying off to bolster his ego being heroic"

Wow, the history of this original is unsettling to say the least.
