.. I was just reading a few of the posts in this section ...

Interesting to see that some of you folks see us Brits as living in "Europe" !!!!

well...NOT this one! !!! ... europe is on the right of the United Kingdom as you look at the map .... its where Europeans live! ... The UK is the island in the Atlantic... next to europe (small e) but not attached ...

Any of you Brits in here consider yourselves European ? ... ..just asking! :hunf:

Then I suppose if the British Isles were located in S. America you would the come to the conclusion that you were NOT South Americans ???

Just because there is a few miles of water seperating England from France(Europe), that does NOT desinate Brits as A NON-EUROPEAN COUNTRY...

The British Isles are European now and always have been and always will be...

I'm 100% ENGLISH, 0% EUROPEAN. I have no problem with Europe but it is not and never will be a 'United States of Europe' as some would like. I guess you can tell which way my vote will go if we ever get a referendum. I see Edward Heath (PM who took us in) as little more than a traitor, and if the time comes when we cannot stand alone I'd sooner be the 51st state than a European non entity. I only hope you'd welcome us.

I'm reminded of an often quoted 1930's newspaper headline - FOG IN CHANNEL; CONTINENT ISOLATED. I like that.

Good for you .... I'm voting the same way ... and also for a different political party for the rest of my life ... the current three are useless!

I'm English, then British, and I live next door to Europe, we get frowned on if we fill in a form and put English, we have to put British, yet Scots can put Scotish ans Welsh can put Wales.
I believe we need Europe for trade but a lot of baggage comes with it.

Actually, according to geologists, Scotland and North America were once part of the same land mass. Presumably the rest of Britain was also part of the deal, which makes you all much more American than European.
