It was for more than any one reason, as he explains.

No! Whatever his reason doesn't apply to me. Why would I want to know his reason?
That proze has almost got me convinced! That I really should break out my Deardorf! Because my Deardorf has two card slots! (One of 'em accommodates 4x5 holders and the other one accommodates 5x7 holders!)
Okay, okay; maybe the action eyeball autofocus isn't exactly 'State of the Ahrt', but if I stop a Protar or a Dagor or whatever down to f64, there's half a chance the rig will cut some mustard.
Scheimpflug, and best to you.
<edit:> Oh. Wait. The only Canon I have is a Canon GIII QL. Had a 7S (with the 'gotta have it' 0.95) years ago, but I sold it or traded it or did something with it so long ago that I don't remember any more). So I guess whatever 'upgrades' I might make from Canon to Pentasonic --I mean Sony, oops!-- or whatever probably won't fly. Very far. (But it just might squawk some, or sit on a stick or something....)

A Deardorf, an American State of the Art. I wouldn't trade that for the Sony.

That’s not true. I post often in Links and Resources and get hundreds of views to my post.

Wow! Great to know! I’m advertising my Canon and Fuji systems for sale first thing in the morning.

I answer Greg question "Will you listen to him explaining the reasons why?". He asked I answer. There is no stupid question. I always try to answer questions asked by UHH members if I know the answer. And sure I answer your question too.
The way I see something like this and this is my opinion only, Sony could have contacted him to promote their cameras or he is now using Sony because it fits better his photo style.
I am a Nikon user and I feel no need to switch to any other dSLR system. I have been using Olympus for several years now and it offers me small cameras and lenses that are easy to carry anywhere and they have excellent quality. No, I will not quit using Nikon.
I guess each one of us should get the gear that makes us comfortable with our shooting style.

Agree, but then, Greg
is on a crusade. This post should have been under Links and Resources and I bet he knows that.
I switched from lots of Nikon gear to Sony about 6 years ago. No regrets at all.
The point is that I may or may not switch to Sony but I wouldn't care why the guy does. Even if my reasons are identical to his why should I listen to his reasons?
