Hi all,

I'm eady to purchase a photo'editing software and was thinking about Lightroom but I have one important questione.

I mainly shoot jpeg (jpeg+raw to be honest) and I would like to know if Lighroom is also good for editing jpeg or is there something else for that purpose.
Obviuosly I will keep raw and edit those that I would like to print or enhance but will not be all my shots.

I believe that the current version of PaintShop Pro x5 is on sale at Corel.com for 30-50.

I recently bought PaintShop Pro X5 for $30 dollars, I think I wasted my money. I find it hard to use and when it does its like watching paint dry. Despite really trying I could not get HDR to work. I have since read some more reviews and they confirm what I have just said. I revert to my favourite software Zoner Photo Studio 15 you can try it free and see how you get on.

If the program is like watching paint dry you could be seriously lacking in internal memory. How many gigs of memory do you have and what is the type of video card in your 'puter?

Lightroom will help you catalog your jpeg and RAW images and also do the post processing...........it can work in harmony with Elements or Photoshop.

I recommend Lightroom

Hi Sarge, thanks for you comments, my PC has 4gig RAM and uses NVidea graphics card. I don't think that has anything to do with it, I use Zoner Photo Studio (which looks like PhotoShop)
PSE, Photomatix, and Dynamic HDR and they are all much faster, easier to learn, than Photoshop on both of my PC's.
I will still persevere with Photoshop, but my favourite still remains Zoner.

Lightroom doesn't care what file format you import.
