I don't recall eating scrapple with any condiment. But then I haven't even seen evidence of the existence of scrapple in probably 70 years now so it could be just my meat memory acting up again.

It's 50/50 for me on scrapple. Half eaten with, half without. Two totally different tastes.
When I moved to Central Florida YEARS ago, I missed scrapple, until I found it in the freezer section in the Publix Market we went to.
Happy camper!!!

You sound like my grandson. He wants ketchup on hot dogs, hamburgers, fried fish, french fries, etc. I haven't been able to convince him that spicy brown mustard goes on hamburgers and hot dogs, tartar sauce on fried fish, and hot sauce on things like BBQ, chili, and Philly Cheese Steaks.

Yes, certain condiments compliment certain foods.
Curious, is he young?

Yes, Texas Pete with cheese steaks, and some other things...
I do Mayo on burgers though, with lettuce and tomato.
Oie, no ketchup on hotdogs....
Ketchup with scrapple though!

Yes, mayo with lettuce and tomatoes but mustard when it is just meat and cheese. Texas Pete is too mild. I like Siracha but it is hard to find now so I have switched over to Cholula. Both ketchup and hot sauce are good on eggs. Try some hot sauce on plain white rice some time.

I like Franks Red Hot on peanut butter.

I've done the hot sauce on rice, I like that.
I just can't put mustard on a burger, mayo or ketchup (catsup).
The only problem with the sauces is that they usually overpower the food.
Winds up being a sauce with <food item> under it.

I put nothing on my Filet Mignon...
Bacon wrapped scallops get nothing either.

I used to make a meatlump. Ground beef, an egg, Worcestershire sauce, mushrooms. Onions, and green beans. Meat and vegetables in one lump. You have to cook the beans first although I like them raw also.

That was between wives when I had to do it myself.

Now I’m not allowed in the kitchen. Just as well.

I agree with with Dirty Harry.

Here in the Midwest, we have Maid-Rites or loose meat sandwiches. Ketchup does not go on those either.
