It's about time! Sirius XM is being sued because it's so difficult to cancel service. The difficulty of canceling is one reason why I would never sign up with them again. I have a Lifetime subscription, and until they cancel that, I'll stick with it.

I have been given free trials for 6 months on the last 5 vehicles but have never activated one. I prefer local stations with news and weather. However, that has not stopped them from sending all kinds of mail telling me to get it activated!

I just purchased 2 lifetime subscriptions and transfer as needed. Glad I did it long ago with the prices as they are....

I did one transfer when I sold the car, and that's all I'm allowed.

We use XM on long car trips so we don't have to keep searching for a good station every 50 miles....
Some areas are pretty sparse.

I rarely use the radio or stereo in the car. I think I use it more as speakers for my cell phone. It's a pain to take the phone out of my pocket while driving. Linking the phone via bluetooth to the car audio system works well for me,

Had a bad experience with canceling them some years ago. Wouldn’t touch them with a ten foot pole now.

I got XM before the two merged. I enjoy jazz and where I live there’s only one station that plays it and for only part of the day. The unit I bought was a self contained radio with a battery and an internal antenna. I traveled all around Texas for my job driving different vehicles. I could carry this unit with me and listen to jazz all over without having to hunt for a new station. At the time the cost per month was about the price of two cds. I could listen to a lot of different artists rather than just one or two a month. Still have SiriusXM in my truck. Use the phone app when I’m away from the truck. Still no stations around me that play jazz.

As long as your CC is good, they've got you.

I can dispute the charge with the card company.

Living in my retirement years on the east coast, I love being able to listen to the west coast sports teams I grew up with and have followed since.

I read about the lawsuit. In the past, every time I've tried to cancel, they've worked out a deal I could live with. I finally decided to ditch them, and it was actually easy. One week after the radio went silent, I got an email with an offer I couldn't refuse. 5 bucks a month plus the royalty fee for 2 years with a right to cancel at any time. It's the only game in town if you want to listen to 40s music, so I took it. We'll see what happens in 2 years.
