I enjoy the Renaissance Fair and the opportunity to take photos of a bygone era. Reference IMG_0125.JPG

France has a very interesting history. Well, they did have that time when the streets ran red with blood from lopping off heads.

Very pretty. Did Gentle Women really paint during the Gentle Times?

During the Tamp Bay Renaissance Fair, this gentle woman painted and had paintings for sale. The fair was a short time travel trip into the past, even the food was from a different era. Some people dress up in self-created costumes that were not Renaissance era. [The organization name escapes me.]

Thank you for asking, in 2024 it will be Feb. 17th – March 31st on the weekends in Dade City near Tampa 27 miles from me. My new 2024 calendar is marked..

Thank you, Linda and NikonGal. It took cloning to change the background before Dynamic Autopainter and color modification. The basic modification was Dynamic Autopainter Pino 2. With additional hair and color modifications, she became what you see.

I use my old friend Topaz Clarity to modify the basic contrast levels, then color tone, saturation, and luminosity.

When I go in February I will not take my Sony 65 and the stable of lenses... I will keep life lightweight with my Panasonic TZ-100 and perhaps my Nikon 1 DIY converted to IR. The Nikon 1 is a 1" sensor early mirrorless camera that was the wrong camera at the wrong time and did not get the backing on Nikon sales... competition quickly surpassed it.

The people move around and it is difficult to get a good shot, but the TZ-100 will take video bursts and the task is then to choose the best image at post. This photo has stoked up my enthusiasm for the February Fair.

You’re very lucky having a fair like that so close Don, everything I want to visit is a minimum of two hours drive away. That’s OK until it’s time to drive two hours back!
You’ve made a great job of this image, it really has the feel you were after. I keep fiddling with a composite aimed at creating a Gustave Moreau-look Salome but haven’t succeeded yet. Of course, I’m making hard work for myself trying to use own-produced textures. I have the old (pre-Studio) Topaz set, maybe I’ll dive into those if they still wind up OK. I really like your result, well done!

Thank you I admire your work... "Old Topaz"... With those we handcraft. Based on a suggestion I did a Monet and then tweaked micro and low contrast, next proceeded to the color and did some boosting there. I like my Dynamic Autopainter [6] but will confess I use it like an amateur the instructions are massive... and many things can be changed from the default.

With Dynamic Autopinter [6] and Monet Revisited, I generated this from the original SOOC. Yes, she was a beautiful subject complete with paint on her right arm in a different view. I boosted the low and micro contrast and upped some color after DAP
