The only things I have held on to are my reflectasol's, some cable releases, and some old film canisters. I rarely keep any camera bodies or lenses longer than 4-5 years.

Ooooooh ... I forgot about my cigar box full of cable releases ! My "good excuse" is my m4/3 Pen-F, which features an authentic threaded vintage cable release socket :-)
When I cash out the Pen-F I should include three pounds of cable releases as a bonus !
That was my first camera in 1962.
I finally, gave it away to a church thrift shop, with a 50mm lens. (I forgot to send it with the 200mm t/p.

Well Pancho, tell Lefty that I have begun gifting my little used gear to kids and possibly to worthy charitable organizations.
I still have a Petri FT, two Pentax K1000 (one is a SE). I also have a few extra lenses and other accessories for them. I should include I have a manual wind regular (double) 8mm movie camera, non functional and cannot find movie film for it. That I keep for sentimental reasons, it was my father's and I lost him 57 years ago.
Waay too much to list it all, so, I'll just mention two Nikon FG's, and two Pentax K1000's, I also have a Nikon FM2n, but I occasionally run a roll of film through it.
When I discovered RRS gear, I went crazy on eBay buying clamps and other hardware. I even put together one of their premium gimbals with parts purchased online. But now I have bins full of heavy (and expensive) hardware.
We have a pristine Retina rangefinder that sits on the living room coffee table. Jammed up years ago, but it looks so cool!

I also have a Retina IIA in working condition but I never used it yet. So many film cameras so little film.
I have gotten rid of a number of cameras in the past couple of years. I have to redo my inventory to see what I still have left. I think I will post a couple on the UHH.

Wow. I am a James in Simi (Valley). Did you graduate from Simi High School? If so you probably knew my cousin and another friend. Both still alive.
I have my "camera collection" of old film and movie cameras that I just cannot get rid of. I call it a "collection" but my wife says its an accumulation of junk that is no longer used or necessary. I'm sorry dear, but you never know that some day there may be a grand return to film and 8mm movie making, and these will again become necessary.
