From Utahraptor State Park to Arches Nat'l Park.

Very few of the raptors were present, and there were almost no tourorists, either. Either (or both?) of those circumstances may have been due to the roads being exceedingly muddy or were, alternatively, teeth-rattlingly wash-boarded. External factors (the threat of flurries?) could have factored in as well, but I don't know for sure.

You are definitely one of the finest shooters whose shots I have ever seen - the apex of the best 🌟🌟🏆🌟🌟

Beautiful. That is one tooth-rattling road. I'm glad you braved it, though.

I appreciate (or something like that... say, maybe 'grok upon' or to be more literal [or literary?] about it, I could perhaps pen [ok, ok... type on my wirelessly connected kneeboard] 'tolerate') the sentiment you posed, Joe.... but.....

I am NOT a shooter! And if I were, even among we, the many, who are speciously called the 'hardest of the hard core shooters', I can (IMHO) be hardly classed --or classed hardly-- among those who 'shoot' and/or reside (as do I) beneath the bridge of their choosing and live out their artless lives in their (my) spacious and palatial Kelvinator refrigerator box, the better to avoid the slings and arrows that inevitably come from being classed 'one of the finest' of 'shooters'.

That's because I do NOT do shots (anymore). I've learned. I've graduated. I've progressed. And I've matured in the Epicureanistic Arts of Imbibement such that I now sip and savor and swill no more! From a PROPER 6-oz cut-glass tippler-- and subscribe to the 'two finger' rule that maintains that, in the glass, there'll be just THAT amount of the life-giving (& chock frikkin' full of minerals, vitamins, & brain and memory [and.... um.... "performance"] enhancement agents) of caramel-colored nectar of straight --and PRICEY!-- Kentucky Bourbon! Shot glasses? Peh! Sure, I suppose there might be some in the cabinet, but if there are, they've long since become the residences of spiders, mouse turds, and dust. Cuz I sure don't use 'em. Neither have I --in weeks possibly, or possibly even maybe in months!-- rolled down the top of the paper bag in which the nectar came, because here, beneath my bridge, though some might see me as being mildly 'ape-x-ly', I, nevertheless, in all manner of things, strive to aspire to be ape-Z-istic!

Even if my strivings (might) come up short on occasion. Which regrettably they do. Which is not to dismiss entirely your (if slightly hyperbolic?) endorsement, of course. Which is, of course, entirely accurate.

Whew! I thought you were going on into the third...or maybe fourth paragraph!. I thought you had to go out of state to find the good stuff??
So...in order to save you the time and effort of continuing in that vein, how should I comment on your latest offer? Your sho...uh no...when out shooti...uh no that won't work either! Let's try this...when you cause an image to be recorded, digitally on a memory card and your shoot...uh...no, again. Your photo sho...uh when your photographic expedition is satisfactorily completed and you have the sho...NO DAMMIT...and you have the exposures that you want, whew! Is that when you feel the need to reinforce that mental state that a good shot of the good stuff creates? See what I did there?
And don't try to convince me that "two fingers" is sufficient to produce that response to "JOE", above! I'm not buying it!
Nice sh...stuff, again, Cany!!

I do have to go out-of-state to get the GOOD stuff, Cheef. Here --in Ootah-- the best I can get is sufficient to briefly quell the sweats and tremors somewhat, but leave visions of paisley elephants (where none probably exist) to plague me. Still, what I can get here is moderately sufficient to hold those demons at bay while I drive over to Colorado where getting 55gal drums of the Double Oaked stuff is less difficult. The cure (Weller's 107), however, cannot be had west of the Mississippi, and Ootah prohibits we who live under the bridge from even ordering it on-line and having Big Brown or FatX or that evil deJoy dude deliver said elixer to me.

It's true, however, that after a day of fiddling with my hand-me-down Instamatic (have you looked at the menus on those things? krikey! I feel like I'm expected to be able read and understand ancient Aramaic or something!), there are those who'll say they've observed me sipping from a 6oz cut-glass tippler.

Do I need a third paragraph to better explain my 'werke-flough'?

Or a fourth?

Or maybe a fifth? Did someone say a fifth? YEAH! Bring on that fifth!

These are all nice shots (may I use that word?). I have to say, though, that the lone tree takes the cake.
