Thank God for Cellphones! LOL

Just some random phone-tography captures I find interesting. What could have been without a camera?

Thanks.
I'm using a Huawei Nova 5T.
It has a nice camera but bad buttons & software.
I do not recommend buying this phone. Most of the time i can not control it. It is frustrating to use.

Thanks. That was taken inside the Metro (train). I manage to sit up front and take pictures.

Thank you for your info. I've never heard of that Smartphone. I have asked poster's to give the name of the name and model of the Smartphone because I think its nice to know how other Smartphones perform and to get feedback on each ones that are being used.

Beautiful eclectic set. Within its limits, all camera/lens sets have limits, a cell camera will preform as well as any DSLR.

That’s a great set of some fun shots. A smartphone camera does provide for some interesting shots one might not take with a DSLR or other regular camera. The smartphone is just so handy, and anymore they are becoming more and more capable.

I agree with Fstop12 about folks showing what smartphone they use. The iPhone seems to be the most mentioned, but it’s definitely not the sole player. I have heard of the Huawei phones. They were the subject of controversy a couple years ago regarding suspected “spyware” that funneled data directly to China. I don’t know if that was true or not, but the cameras seems to take pretty good images.

There are many brands of smartphones, specially in asia where they find the iphone to be too expensive and exclusive.

Some of the more common ones:

Oppo
Nokia
HTC (Some models the same level and price as iphone)
Lava
Cherry mobile
Huawei (Was banned by the US government for spyware)
Xiaomi
Samsung (Some models the same level and price as iphone)
Lenovo
Vivo

The rare ones include:
Sonim (most known for construction work communication tools/indestructible phones)
Thuraya (actually a satellite phone, not a celphone)
Yota
Razer

I believe the latest brand to join is "Nothing".

My daughter, she is also quite good with the camera.

I gave her a Nikon D3300 on her 9th birthday & a D7100 this May,

It won't replace the DSLR for serious photography but the handiness is really a big selling point. They are also getting better as new phone models get offered.

Thanks.
Yes the handiness and not too shabby camera makes them ideal for unexpected moments.
I believe the spyware. Even if not, my Huawei phone still sucks in the user friendly department. It often would not respond to what i want to do and sometimes would do things i don't want it too.
Just can't throw it away as it is a gift from me wifey.
