Great series.

I really like that Mark 1V Jag. I have never seen an MG like the one you show here. It appears that you have selected a certain spot to shoot from, most of the time, and you let the cars come to you. I've enjoyed all of your efforts to share with us.

Can't believe the bit about scarred hands when working on the Hillman Imp. There wasn't room to get a hand in anywhere. Seem to remember a neighbours often overheating. And the delivery van version was worse still.

Enjoyable set.

Enjoyable set! Excellent! The MG and the Jaguar look to be designed by the same team. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you for your comments black mamba. The Mark IV Jaguar and the WA MG are among my favourite cars from the event. We arrived at the park where the cars were on display then most of them did a circuit around the town and returned to the park so we got static photos as well as some when they were on the move. I realised later that I had not picked the most flattering background for the drive-by shots. I have learned to be more careful since.

Thank you John. I had to chuckle at your comment about there not being room to "get a a hand in anywhere".

Thanks for your feedback greyfox. The WA MG and the Mark IV Jaguar do have similarities which I suppose is not surprising considering they are both from the same era - a bit like some cars today with similar styling although they are from different stables.

British cars were a common sight on Australian roads for 50 years from the 1920s to the early 1970s. During the 1950s British cars outsold all other makes in Australia.

Another nice set… the cars and your captures.

I had a Jaguar 420G most of the 3 years we lived in England… we felt we were riding in real luxury. Remember something different about it… had 2 gas tanks with fillers on each side (sometimes took moving car to fill both) and a switch to activate the fuel pump in the desired tank.
