I suppose so. I do tend to see patterns and shapes, even more readily when the natural color is gone. Thank you for looking and commenting.

A different approach that is interesting. I like #2 because it's a collage of leaf shapes. When I look at the rest of them, I find myself wondering what they would look like in color. Takes my mind in a different direction instead of seeing the patterns. Not your intent here. Guess I'm a creature of habit.

Aren't we all creatures of habit, really? This is the image that probably had the most color in it, so I am providing it to satisfy your curiosity. To me it's a bit drab and dreary, but perhaps a lot of people would find the b/w conversion to be equally so. Mostly I like the challenge of trying to see without color. I appreciate your comments.

I like to play with images in post. Given the color version you just provided, I find the top kind of busy and the bottom with the pool and some of the rocks more interesting. I would focus on that part, try different crops and might also look at it in B/W too. And when shooting in the field, with digital cameras, if you take enough pictures, some of them are bound to be good so there's that too. Alway fun exchanging ideas with you.
