I hope you have a very long telephoto lens! Great shots as long as it is safe.

We are on a platform at Brooks Falls. Sometime they are right below you and when at the falls 15 yards all the way across the river is probably 50 or so yards. I’m not good at distance. In Alaska these bears are all about the salmon and don care about the people. We had a permit to do down to the river and the bears were all over. If you saw one you just stepped off the path and let it pass. The closes was 10 yards away in the grass when we saw it. It saw us and we just gave each other room. The bears are in the river with the fishermen as well.

This was taken from the river. The platform would be off to the left as you look at this. Google Brooks Falls bears and you will see.
