Fall In Tumwater Canyon

The wild Wenatchee River runs through Tumwater Canyon in central Washington State. The drive along US 2 that follows the river is scenic at all times of the year but most especially in fall. This area experienced a forest fires a few years back and its remnants can be seen here. These shots were taken after a rain shower which left the fall foliage glistening. Spectacular. We have had the worst fire season I can remember in my 72 years. And it's not over yet.

Thank you and I hear you. Last fall I could barely see half a mile through the thick forest fire smoke. Thankfully here in my part of the country the skies have been clear this fall.
