So very sorry about your shoulder injury, I hope it will heal soon. A huge thank you for taking acre of the wildlife, and sharing this very entertaining series with us!

You're welcome. I enjoy my self-appointed duties, and the trail cam videos are my reward. Unfortunately I'll have to take time away from water hauling now. I've done it before with a torn rotator cuff but this injury seems to be in a different spot. I am highly motivated to become functional again!

Are you sitting down? SWFeral is a 66-year-old woman. Every few years I have to make this revelation, and then my unintended disguise creeps back over me...I guess women aren't supposed to have hobbies like this! You are forgiven.

Thanks for looking at my post. I do actual photography with a real camera, but these trail cam results are so entertaining that I must share them.

I just happened to have new material to add to this theme, as of yesterday. This is possibly the most ridiculous sequence I have caught on a trail camera, and I had a hard time narrowing the frames down to ten to share with you. As many of you already know, the tub is for water for my wildlife friends, and I have three of them in different spots. Each only holds about three gallons and I try to keep them supplied, though I've fallen down on the job lately (literally, and ended up with a fresh shoulder injury). The green cable locks the tub in place so that bears can't steal them, which they otherwise most certainly would. The cable does not, however, keep bears from dumping the water as they play in it.

Which was good news for this bobcat, who evidently needed a dry bath and its own tub time. After some frustrating bear experiences lately, including a camera that had been swiveled 180 degrees and another that had been literally ripped off a tree--a postage stamp sized hunk of the camera was still attached to the strap around the tree trunk with the rest of it on the ground--I needed some success, and a good laugh. These videos provided both. The whole time the bobcat was in the tub a squirrel scolded it hysterically from overhead, which explains the upward gazes. I'm not sure I've ever seen any cat look quite so pleased with itself.

I hope you enjoy these snapshots from the natural world as much as I do.

OMG!!! That is one of the best things I've seen. A couple of years ago a friend sent me a video of a bear playing in a pool of water that was just like a kid playing in the bath. That ranks as my most favorite thing to see a wild animal do and this kitty is a very close second. The look of total enjoyment on kitty's face is priceless.

Thanks for sharing!!

You are most welcome. I've seen bears do that too and it's wonderful; they look so much like humans only more appealing. But this bobcat seemed to take things to the next level...
