I did too! In 1977. Mexican red leg. Beautiful spider. Was actually heavy. Used to take it out and let it walk around, held it. Fed it white mice and crickets. It actually got lost a few times, but we did find her. Tanya was her name.

Partly and also when walking around can be picked off by birds, stepped on or driven over.
