I have an OM-1 SLR, and the mechanical timer makes those sounds. No menu to wade through, no flashing lights. It’s really simple, just cock it and wait. You know exactly when it’s going to trigger the shutter because the whirrr changes pitch, it gets lower, right before the shutter trips.
Ha maybe a camera maker will introduce a digital sound that mimics that old timer. Hey Nikon. Can you add that to the Zf? If you do I will buy a Zf. ;)
