I like it. However, it looks like the background is unevenly blurred - some close blurred and sharp at the same time.

Your comments about various degrees of blurring is interesting. In this version of the image I did not mess with the background other than darken it a bit as mentioned. I think what you are noting are basically seeing are DOF issues.
