I had little road trip from Dubai to Al Ain and snapped some phontos along the way.

It was a drab hazy day. Turning it to black & white was no loss.

Great photos with new development. Fancy stop light. The park is beautiful and everything is clean and well kept. The photos are well composed and tack sharp. They will serve as long lasting memories. Disappointed no Beautiful Dubai women.

I remember Dubai when it was just a small town with one hotel on a creek. No buildings over 2 stories.

The place looks lovely but at the moment is too hot to be enjoyed.
Come winter when the temperature is cooler and it would be much more enjoyable.

It was actually too hot these past weeks, some days reaching 50 degrees. Maybe too hot that it killed some of the decorative trees near our accommodation, even though they get enough water.

It has provided me good opportunities and made me a better provider for the family. No complaints

Thanks.

The development here is fast. Circa 2001 and right outside the city limit is a desert with wild animals. Some shops actually sell medium sized and smaller versions of bear traps. By 2010, there are almost no wild space by the roads outside the city. Those have been replaced with farms or far out commercial & housing areas.

I was unable to visit the park. It was just along the way and phontographed through the bus window.

As for the ladies and the people in general, there is a very strict privacy law. If one take photographs of anybody without consent, that can get the police involved.

Wow, that was probably way before I came here.
It was still a pretty meek place when I arrived but not as what you've mentioned.
You must have felt like Indiana Jones then
That's how I feel when I explore their heritage towns and museums.

Likewise.

It's all changed a bit since 1974!

Sorry to hear that. When I was in that neck of the woods remember the people being very friendly and exotic. That was quite a while ago. Enjoy every minute of the trip even with the heat.

They still are friendly, but also wants their privacy.
The place has become a melting pot of many nations and cultures and I agree with their stand to be tolerant of others while preserving their own.
