San Rafael River and San Rafael Reef Scene's

These scene's were taken a few miles east of the San Rafael Reef in south central Utah. The Reef images were taken at a distance of several miles and really don't illustrate the enormity of the Reef's upthrust. The San Rafael River continues south some thirty miles where it joins the Fremont River and Muddy Creek to form the Dirty Devil River. The Dirty Devil River then continues south approximately eighty miles to join the Colorado River as it is about to flow into Lake Powell near Hite's Marina. Whew! Originally intended to do two posts then decided what the hey!!
