I like the Peak Design Slide Strap (3 widths and prices depending on the weight of your gear). It attaches to the normal strap lugs on your camera instead of the tripod mount hole. It is also quick release leaving only small attachment straps to your camera if you want to remove it for any reason.

Jerry, Op/Tech is all that I have ever used on 5 Nikon FF bodies. I have always used the standard bungy style neck strap (2 point connection). I have not used the sling (single point), although I own a sling type. I have a herniated disc in neck so the Op/Tech has always made it easier to carry a camera. Good luck buddy.

In the lost-n-found/left behind pile at Roosevelt Lodge in Yellowstone is my Op-Tech bino/camera harness that I left on a curtain rod in a cabin last month. For what they want to ship stuff you forgot, I can buy 2 (although I only bought 1 to replace it and already have it in hand).
If you want it, tell them Mark sent you. Lotsa luck…

I use OP/TECH products and find them very comfortable and secure. I prefer the "Dual Harness." It can easily be configured to support two cameras, one left and one right; or one camera (left, right, or center). It is a two-point anchor system, one at each carry lug. I like having the tripod mount free.

I have paired the OP/TECH dual harness with the PEAK DESIGN Anchor links. I find this the easiest, fastest, safest disconnect system available.

I carry a D500 and D810, and sometimes one or two Bronica GS-1 (medium format) cameras without fear or fatigue.

Looks interesting. Any idea if it can be used for one two cameras while seated? I pretty much have to shoot seated or in a wheelchair these days but find it difficult to use two cameras as I often do with two old school hippy straps. I always want my cameras attached to a strap around my neck or on a tripod. I am a bit clumsy and do not want to drop a camera.

How do those interface with OpTech? I looked them up and they look like a proprietary connector?

Hi Moonhawk. The "button end" attaches to the camera lug with its attached tether. Just stick the loop through the hole in the lug, and push the button through the top of the loop, and it is secure. I believe each connector is rated for 200#.

The "snap end" has a slot through which the harness goes. Just take a loop end of the harness, pass it through the slot, and reattach the loop to its connector.

It may seem proprietary, but it is actually very simple in concept and design.

Hi lamiaceae. The length of the straps can be ordered from the company, and are adjustable. You could crank them up to your armpit, or allow them to dangle down to your hip. Problem might be if you get the straps too short (adjusted for the sitting position), it might be difficult to get the camera to your eye???

I have used Op-Tech camera straps for 20+ years. There are multiple different designs for the main strap and multiple different connector straps. The wide thick neoprene neck main strap makes the camera weight more comfortable. I use connectors attached to the two strap lugs at the upper ends of the camera body, much safer than a single strap attached to the threaded tripod bushing on the camera bottom. The Op-Tech website shows all of the combinations.

Thanks. I have them, but I never have enough flash drives, so I ordered three 64GB.

I love my OP/TECH strap because it's modular and is comfortable & secure to wear, it's even better now since adding the sling attachment. I also have the same on my backup camera, the other straps out there are great too but they're more expensive and the quality is the same. OP/TECH is the best bang for the buck!

Mine arrived yesterday, and it's perfect for my Z6 II. With the OP/TECH connectors, it will be an easy swap with the Z8, provided I don't get another one for that camera.

I have a few great straps from OP/TECH. They are durable light weight and affordable. You cannot go wrong here. I also have a USA GEAR strap for my Canon 1v-HS. Since it is a heavy camera the neck strap is very wide. Also, on the strap there are two pockets for film rolls. A nice addition. I have also a strap from Film Photography Project.

By having different straps I know what camera is mine.

Don’t get me wrong, the propriety straps that come in the camera box are nice. However if Canon provided me with a small check ($20) I wouldn’t mind advertising their products.
