The only fiddle I've made is a 15 1/2 in bush viola.
I made french doors last month to close up the room with the wood stove. the doors loosely match doors I built over 30 years ago. I remolded the place and ended up a door short. The room beyond used to be open veranda

Fully carved archtops. The only way I can justify having such instruments is to build them myself.
The same guitar and a homemade mando, a non-cutaway version with violin edges.

Tex promised me one of his homemade archtops years ago. It has never arrived. He must have shipped it via pack mule. And you know, there is a deep water ocean between here and there...poor mule.
