I think its panoramic mode without moving the camera but the people were walking. I think I would try that with my Iphone on a busy street.

No, it really is time travel.

I'm guessing your iPhone got inadvertently set to the Pano photo modeā€¦that's what it looks like to me.

Do several shots. Check settings.
Change settings. Do a few more shots.
If the issue can't be resolved by you and a teenager,
seek professional help.

Another option is that you were in live mode and moved the camera. You can try the panorama and live mode to see if you can recreate the problem.

The pattern looks the same in both photos. I would get in contact with the Apple on this one.

The second photo shows a typical time warp, they are common in photos taken during warp transitions and shifts.

I was in a street market and wanted to try capture the colourful canvas roofs of some of the stalls. I didn't have a camera with me so whipped out my iPhone 10. I only took two shots and when I got home I downloaded them on to my PC. I was startled to see the second photo. How could this have happened??

It's nothing to do with my PC. The photo is as you see it on my iPhone.

I suspect this has something to do with CMOS. I've seen it before whereby an airplane engine with a prop with 3 blades suddenly has 9 blades! CMOS takes images in parts, often going from the top to the bottom. If there is some confusion with the timing...things change between the parts of the image being captured, this can happen.

...Now I have this on a large screen, I see there's some defects in this photo too. But I can understand this. It looks like camera shake.

No, it's definitely NOT camera shake blur!

I have no idea what it IS!

The lady in the T-shirt had a privacy issue. She did not like being photographed so she got in your face- I mean CAMERA!

Well, if this was an old-time film camera I'd say you had a double exposure.

Just a guess, but if the two shots were taken quickly, The camera could have been still saving the first shot when the second exposure was made.
