That's all that can be said...with any amount of accuracy.

What we do know now is...we are not designed for...anything...other to exist...shortly.
By some set of circumstances...we have evolved to have the ability to observe the natural processes.

We come from the Earth...we are the Earth...we have always been...Earthlings.
We aren't going anywhere...we stay...our elements aggregated back into the ever changing mix.

Our lives are predetermined...without destiny...without any more purpose than what we assign to ourselves.

We have no actual free will...more like running a chemical fuse line.
Whatever you are going to think next...is unknown to you...but you will think it.

Enjoy for the first time in mankind's history...
Enjoy for the first time that you actually know what the universe is about and what our place in it truly is.

We don't register to the universe...buy we can still live full lives...at least knowing for the first time our circumstances with an amount of accuracy.

One must drop the ego first however.

I believe there IS a purpose to our lives in this existence.... I think that we have free will to make decisions upon which we are not fully aware of the ramifications yet. We have no Idea of what the Universe is about and WHAT our place in it is... What you think is Canisdirus and I think is Mr. Bob is just a handle to identify the current body we are utilizing to EXPERIENCE whatever we are supposed to experience.... That little voice in the head is NOT Canisdirus or Mr. Bob. There is something beyond which is interacting with the brain and body... A " Self Aware Consciousness " is what differentiates us and is our greatest gift.

Not in the way they are saying it happened. Space is something like a substance that is part of universe. It was created at the moment of the big band and is expanding, but nothing exists beyond it.

Another point of interest, everything we see in the universe makes up ~5% of what is there. ~24% is dark matter which exerts gravitation force or galaxies would fly apart, but we have no idea what it is made of. Rest of universe is dark energy which is causing expansion, but again no idea what it is. So universe came from nowhere and we only know what 5% of it is, and no idea why the forces of nature, gravity, strong nuclear force are what they are?

Anything that is sufficiently advanced is indistinguishable from magic. That's the point where we are always at when contemplating the nature of technology yet to be discovered. You mentioned that space is like a substance that is part of the universe. As I "understand" it, space is a property of the universe where it is possible for something to exist but doesn't mandate that something has to exist within it. Shortly after the big bang, space was created as well, and it expanded faster than the speed of light because there was no matter in it. Faster than light only limits matter and energy. Space is still expanding, along with matter and energy within it. It is not possible for anything to exist in the domain that space is expanding into it which is somewhat of an oxymoron.

The diagram you presented at the beginning of this piece shows the universe expanding out to present day. It strikes me that matter falling into a black hole is a reverse of this process. Four forces are know to exist (so far); electromagnetic, weaker and stronger nuclear forces and gravity. Gravity is predominant and that is reflected in the black holes formation. As gravity increases, first electromagnetic is combined into the weak nuclear force which is then combined with the stronger nuclear force and beyond that is the internals of the black hole which is (apparently) unknowable.

What was before the Big Bang? If there was no space or time during that moment, how did everything suddenly appear out of nowhere in an instant?

The Big Bang did not emerge from nothing but from singularity that encompasses everything within a density such that it equals zero. We have not yet discovered the precise how, but we have observed the effects.
The observations of the Hubble and JWST have provided extensive data as to the early origins of the universe which continue to challenge what we think we know and thought we knew.

Actually, the current theory is that we're in a black hole.
That explains why the universe is expanding.

Very interesting... The magnitude of all this is mind blowing.

Actually even from a layman's point of view if you buy into everything being cyclical , it makes a lot of sense... Matter compressed, matter decompressed.
