Looks good enough to eat.
Several years ago my wife and I drove from what was then our home in Holly, MI, to the upper peninsula to Iron River which is only a short drive from my wife's hometown of Crystal Falls. Roughly 500 miles. Our primary destination was the Riverside for pizza. When we had finished the first and ordered a small second pie our waitress smiled inquisitively. Hoping to give her a bit of a surprise I told her that we had come 500 miles for this pizza. Her response was, "Yeah, we hear that all the time."

Was in NYC a few years ago with my wife. She had never been on the east coast before.
She asked me, "So, I want some of this NY pizza you always rave about."
So I took her to this little place that's only been there for a little over 100 years.
"Lombardi's"
Now she won't eat anything on the west coast!

There are only a few things the West Coast lacks for NY/NJ style PIZZA:
Good water, know how, and tradition.

Mark...did you HAVE to attach a photo??? Totally not fair for those of us stuck with Papa John's.

Looks so yummy. Nothing better than a great pizza and enjoyable music for the road trip.

Thanks, Ed. I’m fortunate to have both.

Mark, when I worked in downtown Dallas, there was a spot that made calzone's and other Italian items for lunch. They were the best. It's closed now. I don't think there's any other place in the Dallas area to get them. I think it would be worth a trip to New York if nothing else than for the food. If we come someday, I'll ask for the address of your pizza restaurant.
